The Festival of Christmas Market at Port Solent is always a popular event in December. Held over two days – the 6th and 7th of December for 2025 – there are over 100 different stalls to browse selling food, drink, gifts, and all sorts of other Christmas fare.
A lot of the products on sale will be artisan or home made, so you really will find unique and thoughtful gift alternatives at the Christmas Market, and the same goes for the food and drink. Much of it will be made by the very people you buy it from, and many of them will be locals – and you know how we love supporting local businesses at Phub.
With the festival taking place at the beginning of the month it’s a great way to get into the Christmas spirit, and something the whole family can enjoy doing together.
Live Music and Entertainment

It wouldn’t be a festival without a bit of live music, and there will be plenty of that going on at Port Solent. From bands playing traditional Christmas music to comedy elves and professional balloon modellers, they have had all sorts going on in previous years.
As you would expect, the market is free to visit, but they have also made parking free all day, so you can spend as long as you want browsing the stalls and enjoying everything else Port Solent has to offer.
The simple pleasure of taking in the winter view from the Boardwalk, seeing a film at the Odeon cinema, explore the marina, have a look in the shops, or eat at one of the restaurants there. You certainly won’t be stuck for ways to fill your time!
