Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra: Portsmouth Guildhall, 12th November

When you think of rhythm and blues, you think of Jools Holland, so fans of this genre of music will be thrilled to find out that Jools Holland and his legendary Rhythm and Blues Orchestra roll into Portsmouth Guildhall on Wednesday 12th November 2025.

Known for his dazzling piano skills and infectious energy, Jools Holland has been a staple of the UK music scene for decades. His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra is a powerhouse ensemble featuring some of the country’s finest musicians, and together they deliver a show that’s part concert, part celebration of rhythm, soul, and swing.

This year’s tour is extra special, with Imelda May joining as a guest vocalist. Her smoky, soulful voice adds a whole new layer to the evening, and fans can expect a mix of big-band classics, toe-tapping boogie-woogie, and heartfelt ballads. Whether you’re into jazz, blues, or just love a good night out, there’s something here for everyone.

Expect hits, surprises, and a whole lot of charm. Jools is known for chatting with the crowd, introducing each band member with warmth and wit, and keeping the energy high from start to finish, creating a friendly atmosphere where everyone feels involved.

If past shows are anything to go by, this one’s going to be electric.
